The Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner issues the following General Health Service Warning Statement under section 87 of the Health Complaints Act 2016.

On 22 April 2021, I completed a Commissioner-initiated investigation into Aliaa Mohammed Elmetwally Ismaeil Sherif (Ms Sherif). The investigation established that Ms Sherif provided cosmetic injectables and was in possession of and stored schedule 4 poisons when she was not registered under the Australian Health Practitioner National Law (Victoria) Act 2009 and therefore not legally permitted to provide cosmetic injectable services or possess, administer or store schedule 4 poisons in Australia.

I am satisfied that Ms Sherif contravened the Code of Conduct as set out in Schedule 2 of the Health Complaints Act 2016, and I believe it necessary to publish this statement to avoid a serious risk to the life, health, safety or welfare of a person or the public.

In addition to this warning statement, I have also issued a Prohibition Order against Ms Sherif, a copy of which can be accessed on our website hcc.vic.gov.au/prohibition-orders-warnings/prohibition-orders

Members of the public who have any concerns about this matter, or any other health services, are urged to contact the Health Complaints Commissioner by calling 1300 582 113 or by completing an online complaint at hcc.vic.gov.au/make-complaint
