Understanding the Health Records Act (Private Sector)

This free introductory seminar is for private sector staff who collect, disclose or hold health information at agencies or health services in Victoria. The session will provide an overview of Victorian legislation.

Health Complaints Commissioner staff will go through organisational responsibilities and the Act's health privacy principles using case studies, group discussions and a Q&A.

A private sector organisation will include sole-practitioners, clinics, companies, partnerships, trusts or unincorporated associations or bodies or not-for-profit organisations.

It is recommended that you complete our online Health Records training module prior to this seminar.
