The Health Complaints Commissioner has made this Interim Prohibition Order against Mr Abebe Trassa Tulu, pursuant to section 90 of the Health Complaints Act 2016.
The Commissioner reasonably believes that Mr Abebe Trassa Tulu has contravened a code of conduct applying to the general health service provided and is satisfied that it is necessary to make this order to avoid a serious risk to the health, safety or welfare of the public.
This Interim Prohibition Order is in effect for 12 weeks, from 29 May to 21 August 2018, while an investigation is conducted.
Mr Abebe Trassa Tulu must not:
- Provide any general health service, paid or otherwise, in a clinical or non-clinical capacity.
- Promote massage therapy services or any health service that involves physical contact with any person.
This Order will be published in the Victoria Government Gazette as well as the Health Complaints Commissioner website.
This Interim Prohibition Order takes effect on the service of the order on the general health service provider to whom it applies.
